TERMS AGREED: Chelsea have reached the final stage of negotiations to secure the signing of the Euro 2024 best player. The agreement was reached last night after Chelsea accepted to trigger the player’s release clause.
TERMS AGREED: Chelsea’s negotiations to sign the top player in Europe for 2024 have reached their conclusion. Chelsea agreed to activate the player’s release clause, and last night an agreement was made.
Conor Gallagher’s transfer to Athletico Madrid has been in way at Chelsea for the past few days, and it appears that both teams are holding out to see who will sign their target first because there are players from both sides who are keen.
Samu Omorodion’s transfer to Chelsea was rumoured to be happening last week, but it fell through due to a change in the transfer protocol from Chelsea’s recruitment office.
Chelsea was highly linked to Manchester City’s Julian Alvarez, but the Blues had to back down since they were more interested in making a permanent transfer for Conor Gallagher. Meanwhile, Athletico Madrid had also hinted at signing Alvarez.
Although it appeared that both sides had reached an agreement on the parameters of the transfer at first, there have been rumours circulating that Chelsea would not pursue Joao Felix until Athletico Madrid had concluded their negotiations for Conor Gallagher, whose personal terms were predetermined.
The management is presumably currently working on adding a new player, and Victor Osimhen has surfaced as one of the potential candidates who might join West London should Napoli make their decision.
Romelo Lukaku will undoubtedly be signed by Napoli manager Antonio Conte, and Chelsea has already approved the inclusion of Victor Osimhen in the transaction as they prepare to close the deal with a player plus cash option.
Victor, though, has already departed Napoli, therefore Chelsea may be his next stop. It is unclear whether the manager will complete the transfer by this coming Friday.
Given that they won’t be depending on Mukhailo Mudryk or Nicolas Jackson—who had a tremendous season under former manager Mauricio Pochetinno—Enzo Maresca requires a flawless clinical finisher.
Conor Gallagher’s comeback might put an end to transfer rumours.
Conor Gallagher, who arrived on Tuesday, is scheduled to workout with his colleagues after being formally recalled by Chelsea.
Chelsea and Atlético are in a delicate situation right now, and all parties concerned have not yet reached a resolution to the absurd drama.
At last, the transfer of Conor Gallagher may bring in a fresh name at Stamford Bridge, but for the time being, we will all have to wait and see what Chelsea’s manager does.
