“I have no regrets about what I did…” – Arsenal star who Mikel Arteta threw out of the club for lack of respect fires back, sends message to the Gunners Boss after the club’s 6-0 win over Sheffield

According to transfer specialist Fabrizio Romano, Arsenal and Espanyol player Joan Garcia have apparently come to a “agreement” to sign Garcia before the deadline.

In order to strengthen the defence, the Gunners recruited Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna after sealing David Raya’s loan move.

Mikel Merino has been mentioned as Mikel Arteta’s top target in his search for a new midfield player. He and Arsenal have been negotiating a contract, and it is anticipated that he will play this season with the North London team.

However, Arteta’s team is also trying to sign a new custodian before the deadline because Aaron Ramsdale’s future is still up in the air. The Englishman was Arsenal’s first-choice keeper until Raya’s arrival in the summer of last year, at which point he was dropped to the backup position.

It has been speculated that he may leave the team to play regular first-team football elsewhere since he is not content with his current circumstances at the Emirates Stadium.

Garcia heading to Arsenal
Wolverhampton Wanderers have now entered the battle to sign him, following Ajax Amsterdam’s prior expression of interest.

According to Romano’s article on X, Garcia has been prioritised by Arsenal in the event that Ramsdale decides to depart in the upcoming days, and Espanyol is already aware of the Emirates club’s interest.

The journalist goes on to say that before finalising the deal with the Catalan club, the North London team and the player had already come to a verbal “agreement” over the player’s personal terms.

Romano stated:

“On a personal level, Arsenal and Spanish GK Joan García have already verbally agreed. In the event that Aaron Ramsdale leaves over the final ten days, he is Arsenal’s first priority to replace him. Although Arsenal is interested in Espanyol, no formal approach has been made yet; Ramsdale will decide.

It is unclear whether Arsenal will choose to sign the 23-year-old by activating his £21 million release clause, as per the reports in his current deal.

Garcia, who is 6 feet 3 inches tall, is a gifted player with a lot of promise. If Arsenal were to sign him before the end of the current transfer window, it would be a wise move to invest in him for the long run.
