We have agreed to allow him to join Chelsea since he has the guts to disrupt the club’s peace, but if Chelsea start treating him like trash just as they did to Kai Havertz, he should not complain.” The club president confirmed his team captain’s decision to join Chelsea this week.
Since he has the bravery to break up the club’s harmony, we have agreed to let him join Chelsea; nevertheless, he shouldn’t be upset if Chelsea treats him like garbage, like they treated Kai Havertz. This week, the club president gave his captain’s decision to sign with Chelsea official confirmation.
As the manager continues to look for a new name, Chelsea has been working on Victor Osimhen’s move to secure a new name before the window closes.
As long as Romelo Lukaku is involved in the talks, Sky Sports claims Chelsea has a good chance of closing the deal for Victor Osimhen.
The Blues have been interested in the Nigerian international for a long time, and according to The Times, Giovanni Manna, the sporting director of Napoli, has met with Chelsea executives in London to discuss a potential deal. Osimhen scored an amazing 26 goals in 32 league games to help Napoli win the Serie A championship in 2022–2023; the previous season, he scored 15 goals in 25 games due to an injury-plagued campaign.
But he submitted a transfer request this summer, which sparked persistent rumours about a possible transfer to the Premier League, with Chelsea reportedly leading the pack. In order to complete the transfer, the Blues want to use out-of-favour striker Lukaku, who is rumoured to be Antonio Conte’s top priority at Napoli. It now appears like the two teams are nearing an agreement.
Osimhen is valued at approximately £90 million by the Serie A team, and they have made a cash offer of approximately £25 million for the Belgian forward, making the total deal worth £115 million. Lukaku is still valued by the Blues at somewhat less than £40 million, so there is still some work to be done regarding the possible payments that both parties may wind up having to pay.
According to reports, Osimhen is willing to accept the same salary from Chelsea if they are successful in offloading Lukaku to Napoli. The Nigerian player is allegedly unwilling to accept a pay reduction in order to facilitate a summer move from Italy. Lukaku is rumoured to earn an astounding £325,000 per week.
The 25-year-old has been contacted by Didier Drogba and John Obi Mikel of Chelsea, with Mikel asserting: “We don’t really need somebody who’s going to come in and be feeding and creating chances.” Someone who can tap in, score goals, and finish is what we need.
Whether Chelsea can get the Nigerian star to Stamford Bridge before the window closes on the 30th is still up in the air.
