In a “mad dash” to acquire a player, Manchester United is prepared to cave to Ten Hag’s demands for a “significant financial effort.”
On November 28, 2023, Sean Lunt tweeted
Manchester United is preparing a massive transfer in order to surpass Real Madrid in the pursuit of young Brazilian player Estevão, better known as Messinho.

That’s what Fichajes.net says; they claim Manchester United would cave to “madness” to acquire the player before their Spanish competitors.

Several major European clubs are interested in signing the youngster, which has reportedly caused “massive madness” in the lead-up to the January transfer window.

After finalizing a deal for Endrick, Real Madrid shifted their focus to ‘a new gem’—Messinho—and now wants him.

But that hope could be “frustrated” if Manchester United “would be willing to go all out” and offer €90 million to sign him.

They would be far ahead of the competition if Real Madrid or any other interested team were to pay that amount.
Erik ten Hag, who is attempting to rebuild the Manchester United squad, is allegedly pressuring Manchester United to sign one of the world’s future footballing jewels, Paulinho, because he knows how good Messinho is. ten Hag has reportedly asked United to make a “significant financial effort” to sign Messinho.

Given the source and the numbers mentioned, we will approach this claim with a healthy dose of skepticism and a healthy dose of salt.

Even if he has been sensational thus far, paying €90 million for a 16-year-old who has not yet played outside of Brazil is ridiculous.

That includes Manchester United, who aren’t afraid to drop serious cash on talented players. But would they really spend so much on a youngster who hasn’t shown much promise and isn’t even valued by experts like Transfermarkt?
