Chelsea
“I don’t want to see such an amazing player on the bench again. I know How much I paid to get Him… I’m warning you for the last time”: Chelsea owner Todd Boehly gives an ominous warning to Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca as he praises ONE phenomenal player during Manchester City clash.
“I want to never again witness such a magnificent talent sitting on the sideline. I am aware of the price I paid for him. Todd Boehly, the owner of Chelsea, issues a menacing warning to Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca during the match against Manchester City, saying, “I’m warning you for the last time.”
Chelsea had the opportunity to play Manchester City yesterday, but they were unable to get the much-needed wins under their new coach. Additionally, Enzo Maresca has come under fire for not fielding more outstanding players who could have helped him defeat City.
ratings of Chelsea players following their match against Manchester City
Robert Sanchez, a seven out of ten
Haaland’s goal didn’t really help him, but he could have finished a little bit sooner. He stopped the champions with a terrific save from Doku’s long-range attempt halfway through the first half and a fantastic save with his feet from Silva’s drilled effort. I handled a difficult day at work successfully.
Bad Taste: 7 out of 10.
one of Chelsea’s few standout players. Supporters would typically laugh at Reece James’ injury, but the young Frenchman has done well enough to temporarily remove the captain from Chelsea’s considerations. Excellent moving forward and very astute technically.
Wesley Fofana (7 out of 10)
Since leaving Leicester City for Chelsea, the French star has suffered from injury layoffs. Nevertheless, Fofana has persevered and has established himself as one of Chelsea’s starting defenders. On paper, it was one of the hardest home games for him to get used to, but he did well.
Colwill, Levi, 6/10
Generally speaking, he handled Haaland’s threat quite well. The Norwegian fouled him before Lewis hammered home the second, which was eventually ruled out. After a few glimpses, this season may finally see him establish himself as a top Premier League player. He is another player who has returned from injury.
6/10 for Marc Cucurella
He performed admirably in his duels with Doku, but he was deemed insufficient for the aim. Although Cucurella has come a long way in the last six months following a dismal beginning to his career in a blue shirt, it’s those narrow margins that separate the winners and opposing teams.
Romeo Lavia, 7.5
A strong performance against his old team. The Belgian was aggressive today and appears to be a brilliant addition to the centre of the park. He is tidy on the ball and a rock off it. His 100% pass completion rate in the first half demonstrated his quality, and he will provide some fuel for thought going into the upcoming campaign.
Caicedo Moises, 6/10
Although Caicedo is a fantastic player when he plays well, Chelsea’s strategy today didn’t go well with his sometimes chaotic playstyle. Partner Lavia played calmly and patiently, but the Ecuadorian persisted attempting the amazing pass, which didn’t quite work out. Though it was a difficult game for him, he showed some encouraging signs.
Cole Palmer, score of six out of ten
Due to City’s defence and midfield shutting him down with extreme integrity, I was unable to really engage in the game. Their season’s MVP from last year, who will undoubtedly be even more so this year, wasn’t on his game tonight. I nevertheless made a few clever films in an attempt to generate anything.
5/10 for Enzo Fernandez
isn’t really suited for the No. 10 position, and it begs the issue of why Nkunku was positioned behind him with a natural winger protecting the wings instead of playing him farther back. Maresca may have headaches in the future due to Lavia’s strong success.
Nkunku Christopher, 7/10
The most dangerous attacker for Chelsea, by far. Although it’s wonderful to see the Frenchman back on the game after struggling with injuries the previous season, he was unable to secure the winning finish. He will play a pivotal role during the season.
Nicolas Jackson: a score of five out of ten
Jackson was slowing down play just when the Blues needed it most in the closing third on the counter, and his performance against the champions did hurt them. They have had another striker on their radar all summer; it remains to be seen if Joao Felix’s arrival would address that. Despite his offside goal, he wasn’t performing at the necessary level today, and that could raise warning flags.
Pedro Neto, 6/10, SUB
He had a chance to score with his first touch, and Rico Lewis only managed to nip the ball behind for a corner as he was lurking, so it was almost the ideal debut. Another astronomically costly purchase made by the Blues, he will be the centre of attention because Raheem Sterling was left off of the matchday roster.
Marc Guiu, 4/10, SUB
Just after the hour, the child was presented, but he hardly got a whiff.
SUB: Dewsbury-Hall Kiernan, 4/10
The summer acquisition made his competitive debut for the Blues, but under his former manager, Maresca, with whom he had shown promise at Leicester City, he was unable to muster any significant performances.
Renato Veiga, SUB, 3/10
came on as a late substitute for Cucurella but was unable to make an impact prior to Kovacic’s score.
