Over the past month and a half, Manchester United’s attacking prowess has finally materialized in tandem with improved play.

Manchester United had a terrible first half to the season as their attack was unable to score any goals at all.

Marcus Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Rasmus Hojlund, and several other players were all out of form, which seriously hindered the attack.

Erik ten Hag’s job was in jeopardy due to United’s goal scoring, which was comparable to that of relegation candidates.

But that has all changed since a 3-2 victory over Aston Villa on December 27th, with the attack now being the team’s greatest asset.

The ever-clinical Hojlund, who has scored six goals in his last seven games—a remarkable return given that he had not previously scored domestically—is one of the beneficiaries.

Now, his teammate has given him praise.

Rasmus Hojlund is praised by Harry Maguire
Hojlund joined in the summer and has since shown a variety of skills in each of his goals, he looks to be improving game after game and his goals don’t appear to be stopping anytime soon.

Harry Maguire is one man who has been talking about his opinions on Hojlund; Sky Sports conducted an interview with him.

Maguire said, “We’ve seen the talent he has, and right now it is really clicking for him in front of goal.”

“Due to his extraordinary talent, we always knew that would happen. He will play a significant role for this team. He will undoubtedly continue to score goals, and there will be plenty more.

“As senior players, we see a young player emerging. He carries himself so well that people don’t realize how old he is, but he enters the game with a lot of responsibility as Manchester United’s primary striker.

“Due to injuries, he has had to play every game, but we knew he would succeed for this team because of the work he puts in in training, his talent, and his physical ability to play in this league.”

If Hojlund of Manchester United were Erling Haaland, how many goals would he have?
When examining Hojlund’s Premier League statistics through FotMob, it’s hard to miss the fact that he’s performed incredibly well given the limited opportunities he’s had this season.

Hojlund’s had just 26 shots, 13 of which were on goal, yielding five goals—a fairly impressive record.

On the other hand, Erling Haaland is given a lot more chances in the box. His FotMob stats, which show that he had 16 goals and 67 shots (34 on goal), demonstrate this.

Based on his season-long statistics, the Dane would probably have 13 goals by now if he had had the same number of opportunities, which highlights how outstanding he is performing in his first year of play.
