“You’re making the biggest mistake of your career”: Arsenal hero adviced Kelian Mbappe to avoid Gunners move by all mean as he gives him three reasons
In light of Kylian Mbappe’s potential transfers to Real Madrid and Arsenal, Thierry Henry has outlined his reasons for wanting the player to stay at Paris-Saint-Germain.
In order to emulate his idol Henry, one of the greatest legends in Arsenal history, Mbappe would “voluntarily join” the Gunners at the end of the current campaign.
The 25-year-old, who is regarded as one of the world’s best strikers and helped France win the World Cup in 2018, has been linked to Arsenal.
However, some pundits have urged Arsenal to hold off on making a move to sign Mbappe because they are unwilling to compromise on their wage structure.
Real Madrid is still thought to be the front-runner to sign Mbappe, whose contract expires in the summer, but they haven’t been able to come to an agreement yet.
If Mbappe decides to stay in Paris, PSG has an offer for him as well, and that would be the best scenario for Henry before the Olympics.
Henry will be in charge of the French football team as they attempt to win a gold medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics, which France is hosting this summer.
Henry said to CBS about Mbappe, “No one knows where he is going to go, everyone thinks it is going to be one place.”
Would that pose a problem for you, asked fellow pundit Jamie Carragher? It appears that he is going to move on, and you are a coach at the Olympics in Paris. I’m sure that all of France wants him there.

Is it something right now? Although I’m sure you communicate with Mbappe in some way, have you discussed your options with him moving forward?
“I didn’t speak to him directly about the Olympic situation yet,” Henry retorted. As you are aware, I have been phoning players, but I will obviously keep that to myself.
However, Mbappe recently stated on television that he would like to play them. However, that will rely on the squad [he selects this summer].
“I have to clarify for everyone.” FIFA does not use the Olympic Games as a date. Thus, teams are able to refuse to release players. Therefore, it doesn’t matter if he wants to compete in the Olympics; what matters is if his team will allow him to travel.
“Well, let’s say he moves to Madrid,” Carragher continued. Did you have to wait for him to sign? How challenging would you find that?
Then Henry remarked, “It is tough.” Since the Olympics are being held in France, I would like to think that the players who represent French teams will be released.
The players who represent teams overseas are the source of the issues. They are under no need to send them. That will be difficult.
“My concern is when you accept that a player will arrive, but he leaves, allowing a team to say, ‘You can have him,’ knowing full well that they will have to sell him.”
I now have to locate another team and implore them to release the player. I am referring to international teams.
That one is difficult. Regarding Mbappe, though, he states that he wishes to compete in the Olympics. That sounds like music to me.
