“You can forget about Manchester United knocking Manchester City off their perch as long as Pep Guardiola is in charge of English football” – Sky sport Pundit Jamie Carragher speaks up and blast Manchester United coach Erik Ten Hag on his comment over Fulham defeat

Jamie Carragher retaliated against Erik ten Hag’s mockery of his analysis of Man Utd’s strategy.

Following his critical assessment of Manchester United’s 2-1 loss to Fulham on Saturday, Erik ten Hag claimed that Jamie Carragher was biased against the team. In response, Jamie Carragher stated that ten Hag was mistaken. After he defended his team in a press conference earlier this week, Ten Hag made fun of the former Liverpool defender, who is currently a Sky Sports commentator. The ex-defender has made public statements critical of Ten Hag.

Carragher and Gael Clichy discussed what went wrong for Ten Hag’s team on Monday Night Football prior to West Ham United’s 4-2 victory over Brentford.

Carragher implied that the manager was at fault by focusing on how United was organized and where Ten Hag’s players were positioned.

However, prior to Wednesday’s FA Cup victory over Nottingham Forest, the Dutchman angrily attacked the Liverpool legend, labeling his views on United as “subjective.”

“To start with, some analysts are very objective in what they say, which is good advice,” the speaker stated. Some people are highly individualized. Jamie Carragher wants to make his point, but up until now he has only said negative things.

Carragher seemed to feel better after Ten Hag’s acrimonious remarks, as he used his assessment of United’s tactical shortcomings from Sky Sports as his X (formerly Twitter) cover photo.

Now that he has finally talked about it, he says he appreciates the 54-year-old man’s resolute denial of the charges.

“My analysis on Sky’s Monday Night Football last week was meant to show why United are so inconsistent,” Carragher wrote for the Telegraph.

Manager Erik ten Hag returned to correct what he believed to be an incorrect ruling. He felt I had been unforgiving from the beginning.

In reality, it was from his United team’s defeat at Brentford in game two. However, it was intended for the players, not the manager.

I believe that his statement was wise. I respect and admire managers who advocate for both their teams and themselves.

That’s the right thing to do if making United feel like they’re under siege produces positive outcomes and improved performance.

Following his £1.3 billion investment in United last month, Sir Jim Ratcliffe must make a significant decision regarding Ten Hag’s future.

INEOS is implementing significant modifications to the club’s sports system after assuming complete control of football operations from the Glazer family.

In addition, some may wonder if Ten Hag is the right manager to revive the heyday at Old Trafford given that United might not win any championships or place in the top four this season.

However, Carragher believes that until Pep Guardiola resigns from his position as manager of rival Manchester City, United will never again be the best team in England. It makes no difference who is in command.

He wrote that Manchester United shouldn’t attempt to unseat Manchester City from their current position as long as Pep Guardiola is in charge of English football.

“United can acquire new ownership, appoint the finest CEO and sporting director globally, enhance their recruitment procedures, repair Old Trafford, and appoint their most exceptional manager since Sir Alex Ferguson.”
