“That wing is not meant for him. The earlier Enzo Maresca realizes this, the better it will be for us. We can’t risk it this season again. It will be a shameful thing for us.” Diege Drogba warns Enzo Maresca to stop using the £70 million Chelsea player in the wrong position.
“He is not meant to have that wing.” It will be to our advantage if Enzo Maresca understands this sooner rather than later. We cannot take any chances this season. It will be an embarrassment to us. Enzo Maresca is advised by Diege Drogba to cease positioning the £70 million Chelsea player incorrectly.
In their first Premier League encounter of the season, Chelsea will play Manchester City today. Additionally, after winning the Premier League title the previous season, Pep Guadiola has prepared his team to contend once more this year.
The Blues placed sixth in the end, just a few points behind the Mauricio Pochetinno-led champions. After making significant changes to everything from the squad depth to the coaching position, it appears that Chelsea is ready for a new chapter.
The starting lineup that Enzo Maresca has selected for his reunion with his former employer is as follows: Sanchez; Gusto, W Fofana, Colwill, and Cucurella at the two poles; Lavia, Caicedo, and Enzo Fernandez occupying the midfield; Palmer, Jackson, and Nkunku at the forward line.
However, this combination has also drawn criticism, as Pedro Neto was benched today and Chelsea chose not to start Raheem Sterling in the opening matchup with his old team, Manchester City.
Cole Palmer already holds one of the two flanks, therefore Chelsea needs a better attacker who can exploit both of them. According to Chelsea Pundits, Pedro Neto should be used by the Blues to resolve the most of their problems and they should stop depending on players who can’t finish clear opportunities. Undoubtedly, Neto, who was reportedly important for Wolverhampton, will miss the game versus City, however it’s unclear if the management would rather have him play the first three games.
In preparation for the Blues, Pep Guadiola has already let go of a few players from his squad. The starting lineup for the match consists of Ederson, Lewis, Akanji, Dias, Gvardiol, Kovacic protecting his defence, De Bruyne, B. Silva, who is also responsible for keeping the midfield tempo up, and Doku, Savinho, and Haaland on the front line.
It appears that the Blues will gladly accept their first assignment in the hopes of having a flawless season debut under the new manager. But whether or not the Blues can defeat the Champions is still up in the air.
