The star of Manchester City, Kyle Walker, appears to have moved out of their Cheshire mansion and split from his wife, Annie Kilner.
Although Walker and Annie were childhood sweethearts, it seems that they have decided to end their romance. On Wednesday night, Annie posted a statement to her Instagram story to announce the breakup.
It said, “I am posting this in an attempt to shield my family from the intense media spotlight and in response to the increasing number of inquiries from the media lately regarding my marriage to Kyle.
“Unfortunately, I have chosen to spend some time apart from Kyle following many years of marriage and the birth of our three beautiful children.
“I would like to stop talking about the position. For the time being, I kindly request that our three small children’s and my privacy be respected during this trying time.”
Walker has also left their expansive £2.5 million Cheshire estate, according to The Sun.
Walker first rose through the ranks of Sheffield United, and the two met in their hometown of Sheffield when they were just teenagers. And she went to London with him, where he made Walker a household name at Tottenham.
In 2017, Walker relocated back to the north in order to sign with Pep Guardiola’s City, a team that was going through a lot of change. Walker has achieved several Premier League titles with City, worn the captain’s armband, and won the Champions League the previous campaign.

Only a few days have passed since Walker was given the captain’s armband for the remainder of the campaign. Recently back from injury, Kevin De Bruyne disclosed that he has given Walker permission to assume captaincy responsibilities.
Walker and City now have a crucial Premier League matchup against a struggling Newcastle team.
