Ralf Rangnick makes feelings on Jadon Sancho clear with honest answer about disciplinary problems

In a candid interview, Ralf Rangnick expressed his thoughts about Jadon Sancho clearly.

Sancho, a winger for Manchester United and England, has returned to Borussia Dortmund on loan for the remainder of the current campaign.

The 23-year-old left the German team in July 2021 to join United in a £73 million deal, but he hasn’t played for the Old Trafford team since August 26 due to a falling out with manager Erik ten Hag. Since September, Sancho has been training apart from the starting squad.

Upon completing the loan move, which contains no option to buy, Sancho said: “When I came into the dressing room today, it felt like ‘coming home’.

“I’ve always had a close relationship with the fans here, I know the club inside and out, and I’ve never lost touch with the management.”

“I can’t wait to see my teammates again, go out on the pitch, play football with a smile on my face, prepare goals, score goals and help qualify for the Champions League.”

Ten Hag and Sancho’s relationship soured after the United manager left him out of the squad for a match against Arsenal, citing Sancho’s subpar performance in pre-game warm-ups.

In response, Sancho stated on social media that he was being used as a “scapegoat” and declined to issue an apology.

Sancho’s attitude has been questioned by some in light of the incident.

Rangnick, the former interim manager of United, insisted, though, that during Sancho’s six months at Old Trafford, his attitude was never questioned.

According to Rangnick, he had his finest period in Dortmund and always played for me when he was well, as reported by Sky Germany. He was not, however, the carefree man of Dortmund.

But the general circumstances also had a part in that. He was set and performed well under me when he was fit. In Manchester, he had run out of chances. In Dortmund, he must now regain his rhythm and physical fitness. From his point of view, the change makes perfect sense.
