Manchester City star Erling Haaland wants shock Real Madrid move after buying house in Spain, as release clause bombshell emerges: report
Erling Haaland, a striker for Manchester City, may be heading to Real Madrid as Kylian Mbappe’s transfer becomes more and more complicated by the day.
Erling Haaland, a striker for Manchester City, would be happy to join Real Madrid and could leave the Premier League early to become a Galactico.
The signing of the Scandinavian striker by Pep Guardiola in the summer of 2022 has been a resounding success. During Manchester City’s Treble-winning season, Haaland scored a Premier League record 34 goals. He later became the fastest player to 50 goals in the competition.
However, Haaland is apparently open to a change of scenery after buying a property in Spain—and for a lot less money than many realized.
Regarding a transfer to the Bernabeu, Spanish publication AS stated that “if were up to him, he would sign for [Real] Madrid tomorrow.”
In addition, the Madrid management believes they have the funds to sign both Haaland and Kylian Mbappe. This is because it was disclosed that Haaland’s City contract contains a “200 million and up” clause, which limits his transfer fee to €200 million and is only applicable to Premier League teams. Teams in Europe might see lower bids accepted.
Although AS has previously reported that Real Madrid is still keeping an eye on Haaland as they pursue Mbappe in a convoluted manner, a move for the Premier League star still appears far off, as the player has given little indication of when he plans to make the move. The remaining four years of Haaland’s contract are up.
Even more speculative, but unverified, have been rumors of a tense split between Guardiola and his lucky forward in the past.
