Man Utd still ‘biggest threat’ to Man City title hopes as Aguero snubs Arsenal, Liverpool in mad prediction

Legendary Manchester City player Sergio Aguero has boldly named Tottenham and Manchester United as contenders for the Premier League championship.

United had an unsatisfactory start to the season, losing seven of their first 17 Premier League games. As a result, they were placed last in their Champions League group, behind Bayern Munich, Copenhagen, and Galatasaray.

Even with a goal differential of -3 and 11 points behind leaders Arsenal, former City striker Sergio believes they are still in the running for the championship.

Aguero told Stake.com, “At this point in the season, you can never sleep on Man United.” “They pose a serious danger to Man City’s Premier League championship.”

Spurs are another team that Aguero believes has a chance to win the Premier League.

Ange Postecoglou’s team had a fantastic start to the season, winning all ten of their Premier League games.

But the wheels came off after they lost their opening league game of the year.

MAILBOX: What exactly was wrong with Van Dijk’s statement? Liverpool took it more personally than Man Utd.

They suffered three straight losses before a thrilling 3-3 draw at Manchester City was regrettably followed by a home loss to West Ham.

Spurs have won two straight after suffering a heartbreaking loss to their London rivals, defeating Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United with ease.

Aguero declared Spurs to be “title contenders” in spite of their lack of depth and recent decline in performance.

“I also believe that Tottenham, who have greatly improved under Ange Postecoglou, are title contenders,” he continued.

Lastly, Aguero asserted that Newcastle is vying with his former team for the Premier League title.

“Despite their ups and downs, Newcastle are also in the running for the title because they always put up a fight,” the speaker stated.

It’s interesting that Aguero left out the current Premier League leaders, Arsenal, Liverpool, and Aston Villa.

On Sunday, Manchester United held Liverpool to a 0-0 draw at Anfield, doing the Gunners and Villans a favor.

With the Gunners and Reds scheduled to play on Saturday, Mikel Arteta’s team now leads the table by one point as a result of that outcome.

But first, Liverpool must worry about their Carabao Cup match against West Ham, who eliminated Arsenal from the competition. On Wednesday night, the Hammers will visit Anfield.
