What occurred?

According to The Athletic, Chelsea and Atletico have come to an agreement for the second transfer of Felix. The Portuguese player had previously been on loan at Chelsea in 2019, where he made 20 appearances and scored four goals. Currently, the Blues have successfully reached an agreement for a long-term contract with the 24-year-old player. The contract will last six years, with the possibility of extending it for an additional 12 months.

It seems probable that the purchase will enable Conor Gallagher to ultimately transfer to Atletico. Chelsea had engaged in negotiations to acquire striker Samu Omorodion from the Liga club, but the agreement ultimately failed, putting the midfielder in a state of uncertainty. Although Felix’s prolonged contract has not been finalised, if he travels to west London, Gallagher seems to be able to finally complete his transfer to Spain.
