I am coming to Old Trafford – RB Leipzig open to letting €50m forward leave to Man United in January transfer window

Coming to Old Trafford, RB Leipzig is willing to let a forward depart for Manchester United in the January transfer window for €50 million.

Timo Werner has received an inquiry from Premier League powerhouse Manchester United, and RB Leipzig is willing to let him go in January should he choose to do so.

The Bundesliga team is prepared to talk about offers for Werner in January, as the forward is no longer in Marco Rose’s plans, according to Philipp Hinze, a reporter for Sky Germany.

The 27-year-old has only appeared in 13 games this season, starting four of them, and has only scored two goals.

With Erik ten Hag looking to expand his options up front and Werner’s versatility as a winger and striker, Man United may present Werner with a path out in January.

Last month, Florian Plettenberg revealed that Werner is on Man United’s transfer list and that the Premier League team has contacted the player to see if he is available for the impending transfer window.

The forward would be open to a move to play more frequently because he is not happy at Leipzig.

For Man United, the question is whether Werner can solve their issues. The 27-year-old, who paid €50 million to join Chelsea in 2020, has already experienced one unsuccessful stint in England.

The majority of Man United supporters will recall this about the player, and they won’t be pleased that the German star is joining them.
