Borussia Dortmund planning shock swap deal for Jadon Sancho in January with £30m sensational winger

January surprise trade between Borussia Dortmund and the incredible £30 million winger Jadon Sancho is planned.

Bild reports that Borussia Dortmund is preparing a “spectacular” January trade for Jadon Sancho.

German media reports that Dortmund’s sports director, Sebastian Kehl, is reportedly “working” on a deal that might see Donyell Malen go the other way.

Malen has been linked to Manchester United in the past; he has lost favor at Dortmund this season, as detailed in more detail here.

Recently, Rasmus Hojlund’s sensational summer transfer to Old Trafford was made possible by SEG Agency, the same organization that represents Erik ten Hag and represents the Dutch forward.

Given how frequently United seems to use the agency’s services after Ten Hag was appointed manager, questions have even been directed towards the organization.

According to the Peoples Person report, if Sancho decides to head to Signal Iduna Park first, United will be “offered the chance” to sign Malen.

With his ability to play up front or out wide, the Dutchman’s versatility could be a welcome addition to a team that has had trouble finishing games this year.

More firepower would be especially helpful to Hojlund, as it would lessen the load on him.

Still, the Bild report now directly connects the Sancho and Malen deals.

According to the German newspaper, Malen has a “clear goal: a move to England,” and the two clubs could agree on a “swap deal” for their two unwanted players.

Sancho, meanwhile, is rumored to be amenable to going back to Germany, the league where he first showed such promise. According to reports, the winger is in regular contact with Dortmund representatives in anticipation of a January transfer.

But one thing is for sure: a solution is required to the ongoing conflict between Sancho and Ten Hag, who had a falling out at the start of September. If not, there will always be a gloomy cloud over Old Trafford, which will show up as the kind of dressing room leaks that have been happening lately.
