Finally exposing the club’s true issue, Paul Scholes says that three Manchester United players are “so much better” than the starting lineup

Paul Scholes believes that four players from Manchester United are better than the team ErĚl ten Hag selected to play Bayern Munich.

Manchester United and Bayern Munich played their final Champions League group stage match at Old Trafford. After losing 1-0 that evening, ErĖk ten Hag’s squad was declared out of all European competitions. In the match against Bayern, Ten Hag started Raphaël Varane in defense, with Sofyan Amrabat lagging behind Bruno Fernandes and Scott McTomnay in midfield.

Paul Scholes stated prior to the game that he thought the three injured players were actually superior to the ones the Dutch manager started. The manager is unfortunate about it.
“To be fair to the manager, he never really makes excuses,” Scholes stated to TNT Sports. “I watched a game earlier, and I thought the center halves were Varane and (LĖsandro) Martínez.” Before the midfield, you had CasemĖro and (ChrĖstĂan) ErĖksen. That lineup is far better than what we’re going to see tonight.Martínez, Casemiro, and Eriksen are currently out due to injuries. The first two are unlikely to make a comeback until early 2024, and Erriksen’s recovery has no set timetable as of yet.

Ten Hag’s first campaign as manager depended on all three, and if they had been available on Tuesday night, the result might have been different.United would have qualified for the Europa League if they had defeated Bayern, even though the result was ultimately meaningless due to Copenhagen’s victory over Galatasaray. United would have finished third in Group A.
