Right now, Adam Wharton is a player who is drawing a lot of attention.

The young Blackburn Rovers player appears to be a Premier League player in the making, and he has been linked to several elite teams.

Tottenham is once again one of the teams rumored to be interested in moving to Wharton, but it doesn’t seem like they’re in the lead at the moment.

In fact, Crystal Palace is pursuing Wharton more aggressively than Tottenham, according to Ben Jacobs, who was speaking on The Spurs Chat Podcast.

Spurs aren’t pursuing Wharton Jacobs as hard as Palace is. Jacobs revealed his knowledge of the young player.

“I’m still told that Palace is being more aggressive right now with Wharton. Although some claim it is as low as £10 million, I believe it may be in the middle. I am aware that Spurs are well aware of Wharton and the possibility that this is a bargain fee. It would undoubtedly be under £20 million. Tottenham may have to escalate if Everton or Palace decide to move,” Jacobs said.

Lots of time
Wharton appears to be more likely to move in the summer rather than in January, and while Spurs aren’t leading this race right now, there’s plenty of time for that to change.

In fact, the summer transfer window doesn’t open for another six months, and Spurs can quickly increase their interest in a player if they really want one.

If Spurs do decide they want to sign Wharton as a priority, they should have no trouble moving to the front of this line given the size of the team and their financial resources.

This is certainly a situation to keep an eye on as Wharton will surely be making a move to the Premier League in the coming months.
