FINAL DEAL: Following protracted talks last night, Chelsea emerged victorious in the competition to buy a world-class superstar for £60 million. The athlete and the team have agreed to a five-year contract. Greetings from Stamford Bridge.

After much conjecture at Stamford Bridge, where Joao Felix was heavily connected to a potential move, Victor Osimhen emerged as the manager’s top choice. Chelsea is still in talks to complete the transfer before the window closes.

Victor Osimhen’s transfer to Chelsea is reportedly ongoing, according SkySport. Other strikers have recently been connected to a move to Stamford Bridge.

Along with Alexander Isak of Newcastle, another player who has surfaced as a target is Jadon Sancho. However, the transfer fell through after Isak signed a new contract with his club, so Chelsea will continue to link Sancho and Osimhen.

Pedro Neto, a long-term West Londoners contract holder, was already signed by Chelsea from Wolverhampton. It appears that the next deal might bring both Joao Felix and Victor Osimhen to Stamford.

Romelo Lukaku’s exit is unrelated to Victor Osimhen’s move to West London, according to recent sources, and the £113 million release clause for Osimhen is likely what is keeping the contract in place.

Chelsea would rather take a different approach since Enzo Maresca is still determined to close additional signings.

It appears the management would now target their former player, Joao Felix, though it is unclear if the interest may spark the trade. The Blues had already called up Conor Gallagher despite the bizarre story surrounding Athletico Madrid.

Even though Enzo Maresca has already added 10 players to his roster this season, he still needs to improve his attacking capabilities as they prepare for their Premier League opener tomorrow.

Though it’s obvious that Chelsea might still advance with their depth in the team, the Blues may remain in the market if they can’t find a competent finisher.

Only if Athletico Madrid agrees to complete Conor Gallagher’s deal and, if necessary, follow up with Joao Felix, would Chelsea expect to acquire Osimhen.

Chelsea has added additional names to their want list, so it’s unclear if the manager will be able to add another name before the window closes.
