CONFIRMED: Victor Gyokeres JERSEY NUMBER confirmed amid speculation that the sporting Hitman have agreed to join Arsenal on a record fee of £120M – congratulations Arsenal fans
There was talk that Victor Gyokeres had decided to join Arsenal for a record £120 million, but the number on his jersey has now been confirmed. Well done, Arsenal fans
You have to wonder if our Gunners have really had a good start to the season when you look at the PL table. By the end of the 10th game of the season, they’ve lost 12 points and are now 7 points behind leaders Liverpool and 5 points behind in-form Manchester City.
Even though there were calls for the Arsenal coaching bench to get better and play more fluid football with small changes after the Newcastle game, this doesn’t mean that Arsenal will win the league.
The new players the Gunners get during the winter transfer window will definitely make this team stronger. They will be able to start a strong title run that should end in league success.
When we think about the winter transfer window, there is a possible problem: will Arsenal still be able to go through with the deals they had planned now that Edu has left as Sporting Director? Does his leaving change their plans? That really shouldn’t happen. I think Edu was just the public face of a whole department. If the Gunners find the right person to be the new Sporting Director, he may find it easy to replace the Brazilian.
That being said, we highly urge the person who will be replacing Edu to “introduce” themselves in January.
Give us Viktor Gyokores and rock our world. I don’t think this is a big ask; Arsenal almost had a net-zero spending season this past summer, with almost as much money coming in from sales as from signings.
A lot of the best players from Sporting only stayed with the Portuguese team because they knew they would be loyal.
The boss, Ruben Amorin, is said to have asked his players to be loyal, and many of them did, making sure they didn’t leave in the summer.
Players like Gyokeres are upset that the Portuguese coach is leaving to work for Manchester United. Record, a Portuguese news source, says that Gyokeres will not follow his coach to Manchester United. This means that Arsenal or any other Premier League club can go after him.
The Swedish striker has scored 20 goals in 16 games for Sporting this season. He could be a huge help to Arsenal’s attack; he could be Kai Havertz’s replacement (or rival).
By using Gyokeres’ £85 million release option, Arsenal could seal the deal and show how determined they are to win the league title. Fans of Arsenal would definitely be able to trust our new Sporting Director more.
