Breaking News: Erik ten Hag makes sudden transfer U-turn and sends Man Utd star blunt warning

Erik ten Hag, the manager of Manchester United, stopped Facundo Pellistri from leaving Old Trafford in the summer, but he is now able to sell the winger because Villarreal is showing interest.
Foreign parties are showing interest in Manchester United winger Facundo Pellistri, and Erik ten Hag is prepared to approve a permanent departure.
The 22-year-old Uruguayan international has not started a game for the Red Devils since September as he has struggled to establish a consistent first-team role since moving from Penarol to United in the summer of 2020.
Nevertheless, Pellistri still has suitors despite falling further down the rankings this season despite players like Marcus Rashford and Antony being dreadfully out of form. And when it comes to Pellistri, United has all options open as they look to raise transfer funds and reorganize their team during the January transfer window.
The Sun claims that after tracking Pellistri during the summer, La Liga team Villarreal is pursuing him once more and is hoping to sign a long-term contract for the young forward’s services this month.
The report goes on to say that rather than cutting their losses on the young player, who was signed for about £9 million during Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s premiership, United may choose to send Pellistri out on loan once more.
Pellistri was rumored to be leaving Old Trafford in the summer, but Ten Hag stopped that from happening. But it appears that the Dutchman is willing to allow Pellistri to move on at this point.
Pellistri has made nine appearances in the Premier League for United this season, but he has only made one start. Ten Hag made it clear in an interview conducted in November that Pellistri had to prove he was more than just an impact player.

Ten Hag said the following about the winger following his appearance in the 3-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park: “He has to make also a step from bench player, coming in and having a good impact, to a starting eleven player.” We’ll watch to see how quickly it moves along.”
Pellistri would be the most recent undrafted player to leave this month if he leaves, following Donny van de Beek’s successful six-month loan move to Eintracht Frankfurt.
Borussia Dortmund is currently in talks to re-sign the exiled winger, Jadon Sancho, who is also expected to go on loan. Meanwhile, midfielder Hannibal Mejbri may also go temporarily as offers from Everton and Sevilla are on the table.
