Victor Osimhen, a teammate at Napoli who is still rumored to be leaving the Serie A team, has received some attention from Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s agent.

Osimhen, 24, continued to flourish in the top division of Italian football, recording seven goals and two assists in his 11 starts for Gli Azzurri. Towards the end of 2023, he inked a new contract with Napoli, extending his stay at the team until 2026.

The Nigerian forward is frequently linked to a move away despite his form and the team winning their first Serie A title since 1990 last season. Chelsea, Arsenal, Real Madrid, and the Saudi Pro League are all said to have shown a strong interest in the player.

In an interview with Georgian broadcaster 1TV, Kvaratskhelia’s agent Mamuka Jugeli disclosed where he believes Osimhen will depart Napoli in the near future. “Osimhen has re-signed, but do you really think he’ll play for Napoli for the rest of his career? He’s going to Saudi Arabia next summer, I’ll let you know ahead of time,” he said.

“Khvicha wouldn’t accept such a transfer, not even for a billion dollars, even though Napoli increased his pay. He might want to play for Manchester City, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, or Barcelona, for instance. Kvaratskhelia has distinct objectives and tastes.

“He is one of the top three players in the world, so he is already successful and achieving his goals. It’s still early; everything will happen in due course.

“His inclusion on the team would not be rejected by any team. I think anyone who follows football will agree that he has no boundaries and can only get better. I’ve communicated with numerous clubs, but will De Laurentiis allow him to leave? We are currently constrained by a contract.”

Many of the best players in European football have already expressed interest in moving to the Middle East; Neymar, Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, and Ngolo Kante have all signed lucrative contracts. The problems with such a move are evident, though, as players like Roberto Firmino and Jordan Henderson are eager to leave their respective Saudi clubs, having only left Europe six months earlier.
