Mykhailo Mudryk sends message to Kieran Trippier after Chelsea horror show
Mykhailo Mudryk messages Kieran Trippier following the Newcastle star’s appalling display at Chelsea
Mykhailo Mudryk gave Newcastle star Kieran Trippier a tasteful message of support after he let Chelsea win in the Carabao Cup quarterfinal last night.
Eddie Howe’s team, who lost as finalists in this competition the previous year, appeared to be headed for the semifinals after holding onto their 16-point lead until the fifth minute of injury time.
Callum Wilson took advantage of a horrifying mistake made by Benoit Badiashile to put the visitors ahead, but Trippier’s late loss of focus destroyed the Toon Army’s hopes of making it back to Wembley.
Due to the England international’s poor header, Mudryk was able to break free and send the match into a penalty shootout, which Chelsea won 4-2.
Trippier’s suffering was made worse by a missed penalty kick. The seasoned full-back, who was responsible for two goals in a recent Chelsea loss at Everton, appeared upset as Chelsea’s players celebrated Djordje Petrovic’s game-winning save.
After scoring a goal and successfully converting a penalty, Mudryk saw Trippier’s response and took to social media to offer his support.
“Kieran, I just wanna say to you: stay strong,” he posted on Instagram. Even though bad things happen occasionally, I still believe you to be a strong football player.
The win, however, was a major lift for Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino following a run of poor Premier League performances that have left his team stuck in the middle of the table.
Pochettino exclaimed, “I am very happy and the players deserve some credit.” “We didn’t deserve to concede after the manner we did, and it can hurt any team.” We responded brilliantly and won the match against a top-tier team like Newcastle.
Then, in the second half, we keep going, make a few adjustments, and naturally aim to have some influence on the team.
The most crucial thing in football is to never give up, which is made possible by our unwavering belief that penalties are a lottery.
Naturally, aptitude and excellence. Naturally, we are overjoyed because, going into the game, our goal was to advance to the semifinal.
“We need to move on, wait until tomorrow, be focused, and be ready for the next Premier League game now that we are in the semi-final.”
