Video: Erling Haaland warms up for Liverpool clash with wonderful finish
Manchester City cruised through the first half of their Champions League round of 16 second leg match against Copenhagen, and Erling Haaland scored a goal right before halftime.
Since Manchester City took a 3-1 lead in the first leg, Premier League champion Pep Guardiola was able to rest some players in preparation for this weekend’s huge match against Liverpool. The Danes were thus not expecting much from tonight’s match.
But City’s boss rested a few key players in preparation for Sunday, and Liverpool’s Erling Haaland got the party started with a beautiful goal that put Man City up 2-1.
The Norwegian sensation has broken Sergio Aguero’s record for Man City in the Champions League after only two seasons at the Etihad.
