‘Magnificent’ 27-year-old Tottenham player may never play for Ange Postecoglou again
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele can be permanently excluded from playing for Spurs.
The Frenchman is presently on loan at Galatasaray, experiencing a challenging season. He has faced significant criticism, indicating that his future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium is unlikely.
Tottenham acquired Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon for a record-breaking fee of £63 million, as reported by Sky Sports.
The Frenchman arrived under high expectations in 2019 and managed to score an impressive goal in his first game. Spurs anticipated Ndombele would excel under Mauricio Pochettino, but he has been a letdown.
The 27-year-old did not meet the expectations of Jose Mourinho, Antonio Conte, and Ange Postecoglou. He was loaned to Galatasaray in the summer, and the outcome has been disastrous.
Rumors circulated that his loan agreement might have been terminated during the winter transfer window. He is facing significant challenges, and Dean Jones has stated that his time at Tottenham under Postecoglou is nearly finished.
He informed GiveMeSport that under Tottenham’s new criteria, he doesn’t foresee Ndombele making a comeback. I believe it is time to attempt to detach from him.
“It’s proved difficult for them to offload him fully. Even when you get rid of him, his new club isn’t satisfied with what they’ve picked up.
“So, I don’t know what happens to him next, but I certainly don’t see him playing at Tottenham again.”
Upon entering the Lyon squad, Tanguy Ndombele was anticipated to emerge as one of the premier midfielders globally.
The Frenchman was truly a remarkable talent. Tottenham believed they had found a highly desirable midfielder and considered themselves fortunate to have secured his services ahead of other teams.
Ndombele has failed to fulfill his significant potential for unspecified reasons. His performance has significantly declined in recent years, and we anticipate that his tenure at Tottenham will conclude this summer.
Tottenham Hotspur may need to terminate his contract and release him without a transfer price, as it is unlikely that any team would be willing to pay to get him.
