(4-3-3) One key changes made to previous XI”, Possible Arsenal line up vs Brighton as Arteta set to finally top the table with another massive point

Gabriel Martinelli’s performance on Saturday did not impress Gary Neville, the former Manchester United player who is now a Premier League commentator. Due to his lack of confidence, the Arsenal winger may be benched against Aston Villa, with Leandro Trossard taking his place and leading the Gunners to a 2-0 victory.

By the time Martinelli replaced Trossard just after the hour, the teams were still tied at Villa Park. The Belgian scored a precise goal two minutes later to live up to his super-sub tag.

And with Arteta acknowledging that his impactful cameo has given the coaching staff plenty to think about, he might advance to the starting lineup against Brighton on Saturday.

“They will have to accept that we have great players in every position and that there is a lot of competition,” he said to Sky Sports. “We have a long and important season ahead of us, and you need guys to have an impact. Trossard gave us a headache for next weekend when he did that last year when he first started and as a substitute.

After examining left-winger Martinelli closely on Saturday, serial Premier League winner Neville found that the player is “lacking belief,” “hesitating,” and “in need of attention.”

His perspective on Martinelli’s matchup with Matty Cash and Kosta Nedeljkovic is quite significant given his background as a right-back. And given that Trossard is a confident player who is waiting for his opportunity to shine, his conclusion is hardly encouraging for the Brazilian.

Neville stated on Sky Sports that Martinelli is the one player who “just needs that little bit of belief back in his game.” He was standing right in front of us during the first half, so it was very evident to me. I became aware of it because I always ask myself, “What would I not want?” when a winger is playing against a right-back.

He briefly engaged in counterattacking against Matty Cash and Pau Torres in the opening stages of the match.

“There were times during that game when it was quite that he had a head start of five or ten yards on his right-back and there was room to go. He’s not quite there yet, so he could use some care and attention right now.
