‘We should’ve gone for him but instead they went and bought a flop’: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer says Man United should’ve signed 25-year-old premier star

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has stated that Declan Rice, a star player for Arsenal, should have been signed by Manchester United while he was manager.

The Norwegian was Manchester United’s manager for almost two years. Although he was more successful than the majority of managers in the era following Sir Alex Ferguson, he was not always successful in signing the players he desired. Of these, rice was a kind.

Manchester United should have signed Declan Rice, according to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer of Arsenal.
For many seasons, Declan Rice has been one of the Premier League’s most outstanding players.

The Englishman’s star potential has been obvious ever since he began making regular midfield appearances for West Ham United.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has finally confirmed that Manchester United wanted Rice, who had been linked with several clubs.

Nevertheless, United ultimately opted not to sign him, and Arsenal signed him for a club record fee last summer.

When asked about Rice, Solskjaer responded, “Yeah, I really, really like him as a player,” in the most recent episode of Stick to Football on The Overlap. We brought him up several times. If we had him in the middle of the field, I believe we would have won. I also think he made great strides in his playmaking and with his legs covering the field.

Solskjaer responded with a “Yeah!” when Gary Neville inquired as to whether Rice was available. He would have been expensive, but we could have and should have gotten him.

Adding Declan Rice to Manchester United’s roster would have been a huge mistake. Rice is currently among the Premier League’s top midfielders.

The Englishman, who is 25 years old, has every desirable trait in a midfielder. With his newfound ability to score and set up teammates, he could be the driving force behind Arsenal’s Premier League and Champions League championships this year.

United would have been much better off under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s tenure if they had signed Rice. Unfortunately, the Glazers and the rest of the power brokers dissuaded him from making them significantly better than they have been thus far.

It was a huge error, as we can all see now.
