VIDEO: ‘You’re so slow bro!’ – Kobbie Mainoo mocks stricken Leny Yoro as Man Utd defender’s crutches make life difficult during team-bonding meal at Manchester restaurant
Kobbie Mainoo has not refrained from teasing his new colleague, Leny Yoro, despite the unfortunate injury Yoro sustained during his debut for Manchester United.
Yoro is using crutches following a surgical procedure.
Mainoo taunts Yoro during Manchester United’s evening outing. The defender will be out for a period of two to three months.
Yoro transferred to Manchester United this summer at a reported sum of £52 million ($68m) from Lille. Nevertheless, in his inaugural match for Erik ten Hag’s team in a friendly against Arsenal, the 18-year-old sustained a metatarsal injury and subsequently required surgical intervention to address the issue. Despite being laid off from his profession, Yoro continues to form friendships at the club, and Mainoo appears to be one of them. The English midfielder playfully ridiculed the Frenchman after a team dinner at Tattu, a restaurant in Manchester, this week. Mainoo jokingly expressed dissatisfaction with the amount of time Yoro took to get into a taxi, remarking, “Leny, you are exceptionally slow, my friend!”

Yoro will be inactive for a period of two to three months after the surgery, and Manchester United will anticipate his comeback in good condition. Upon his return, the Frenchman will have competition for his position in the starting line-up from Lisandro Martinez, Matthijs de Ligt, and Harry Maguire, who has greater experience.
On Saturday, August 24, the Red Devils will face Brighton in the Premier League, and it is probable that Mainoo will be selected by Ten Hag to play in the midfield.
