What transpired?
Just last year, Behich made his way back to Australia with Melbourne City after spending nearly a decade in Europe with clubs like Dundee United, PSV Eindhoven, and Buraspor. He has now signed a six-month loan deal with Al-Nassr, a Saudi Pro League club, after attracting their interest. In January, in preparation for a possible comeback, Al-Nassr has been actively seeking new talent.

HIS COMMENTS
Behich told reporters, “It happened fast for me as well” (via ESPN). Yesterday, I got a call and things got worse from there. The focus shifted to City, and I couldn’t say no to the chance it presented. I appreciate it. I’m appreciative to City for giving me this opportunity, and I’m looking forward to it.

There was a lot of haste because it occurred late last night, near the window’s end. I haven’t gotten into the social media part just yet, but I’ve watched a few of their games this season and I know they have a big following. My enthusiasm for being a part of the Saudi league has grown in tandem with its success.

The AFC Asian Cup is taking place in Qatar, and the Australian national team is there competing. After making it to the quarterfinals, the Socceroos will face South Korea in the next round. Just one hour following South Korea’s last-16 victory over Saudi Arabia on penalties, the 33-year-old’s transfer to Al-Nassr was announced.

Which one will come next?
The left back’s quarterfinal match for Australia’s national team is against South Korea, captained by Son Heung-min, is scheduled for Friday, February 2. Around the middle of the month, Behich will probably start training with his new teammates at Al-Nassr.
