The drama surrounding Kylian Mbappe’s transfer seems to be continuing as a fresh rumor suggests Liverpool is willing to give the French striker a massive signing-on fee and salary.
However, even though the Telegraph claims that he wants an annual salary of £65 million (€75 million) after taxes, it will not even come close to matching his current terms in Paris.
That is an astounding £1.25 million (or €1.4 million) every week.
Indeed, Liverpool and it seems Real Madrid won’t be paying that either. It must be excessively costly if Florentino Perez, the president of Madrid, says so.
Real Madrid and Liverpool are ill-prepared to satisfy Kylian Mbappe’s demands.
When Mbappe’s contract expires at the end of the season, he should and will leave, according to Spanish news outlet Le Figaro Sport, for both professional and personal reasons.
It appears that Mbappe and “those around him” know that the only Saudi Pro League teams willing to pay him what he is currently making is the Saudi Pro League.
They reportedly want to agree to pay a hefty signing bonus and a “colossal” salary of about £30 million (€35 million) at “Real Madrid and Liverpool.”
That ought to be more than sufficient, but given that he has been receiving that sum about every six months, would he be willing to take less?
The only person who could respond to that question is Mbappe, but if he wants to move up from PSG to Liverpool or Madrid, he will have to make that sacrifice.
How much does Kylian Mbappe’s PSG contract total?
You may already be aware that Mbappe earns approximately £1.1 million (€1.4 million) every week, but how much more has he made since signing a three-year contract extension?
According to reports, he will forfeit his last loyalty bonus, but the contract is worth an incredible £541 million (€630 million).
Throughout the course of the contract’s three years, a signing-on bonus totaling £154 million (€180 million) will be given.
Even if he does give up his last loyalty bonus, as some reports claim, he will still only have made £471 million (€550 million).
No matter where he goes, in order to stay in Europe, he will have to accept a significant salary reduction and enter the somewhat normal world alongside the rest of his peers.
