“This player is all I have for Now, I’m just letting Him to go because of the connection between me and Enzo Maresca and My support for them to win the league”, Club Manager finally respond to Chelsea transfer as He assures Enzo Maresca that the player will be at Stamford Bridge today to undergo medical.
The club manager finally responded to the Chelsea transfer, telling Enzo Maresca that the player will be at Stamford Bridge today for a medical. “This player is all I have for Now, I’m just letting Him to Go because of the connection between Me and Enzo Maresca and My support for them to win the league,” the manager said.
When asked if Barcelona president Joan Laporta’s advisor would consider signing Nico Williams, a forward linked to Chelsea, she gave a noncommittal answer.
Following a fantastic season with Athletic Bilbao the previous year, in which he was instrumental in Spain’s victory at Euro 2024, Williams is currently attracting interest from the top clubs in Europe.
Williams’ future is still up in the air after signing a new contract at the end of the previous season that will keep him committed until 2027. Chelsea is one of the teams who have been linked to him, but the Blues have not yet made an official offer for his services.
Williams’ most likely destination right now is thought to be Barcelona, despite the fact that the Spanish powerhouses are not disclosing anything about their interest in the 22-year-old. When asked if there was still a chance to sign the winger prior to Barcelona’s La Liga opener against Valencia, Laporta’s advisor Enric Masip said, “This is handled by the sporting management.”
Williams played in Athletic’s opening encounter of the new season this past weekend, but he did not get off to a good start and was limited to just 19 minutes during a 1-1 tie with Getafe. Soon after the Euros, he made a statement on his future and his dedication to the Basque club, saying, “I have already said that Bilbao is my home.” I recently renewed here, and I couldn’t be happier.
Ernesto Valverde, the athletic manager, has had to respond to enquiries about the intentions of his star player on several occasions and recently acknowledged that he had no idea how things would turn out.
“The marketplace is accessible. Although players like Nico are performing well here, the market is open until the 30th to allow us and the other teams to bolster our rosters, the former Barcelona manager stated. “Nico looks to be in excellent shape. It’s crucial for our personal self-esteem that Nico can stay with us this season. I have no idea what might occur.
If Chelsea chooses not to pursue a trade for Williams, it’s possible that other persons might still find deals. Enzo Maresca believes more reinforcements are needed, and two players who are still being linked to moves to Stamford Bridge are Joao Felix and Victor Osimhen.
“The club is fully aware of my thoughts in case we need to take action,” the Italian emphasised during his pre-Manchester City press conference. “We can bring some players after the transfer window closes.”
