After the INEOS sacking clause is revealed, Erik ten Hag talks about his future at Manchester United.
Although they do not currently control football-related matters, the minority owners will continue to be involved

Erik ten Hag has discussed his future at Manchester United after the minority takeover of INEOs was confirmed.

The manager has been under increasing pressure, which reached a peak on December 23 after a 2-0 loss to West Ham made him the bookies’ favorite to be fired as manager number two.

The next day, the Premier League team declared that Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s long-awaited acquisition of a 25% share in the team had finally been finalized.

Under the terms of a deal that is anticipated to take four to six weeks to receive regulatory approval, INEOS is taking over responsibility for United’s footballing operations.

Director of sport at INEOS, Sir Dave Brailsford, watched United lose 2-0 to Aston Villa on Boxing Day before mounting an incredible comeback to win 3-2. Ten Hag says he will be speaking with the new minority owners soon.

“The schedule is so condensed so I didn’t have the time so far to speak with them, but it will come and I look forward (to it),” said the president of United.

Both of us are interested in working together. We shall see after the discussions and meetings.

Ten Hag responded, “I’m focused on the game so far,” when asked if he anticipates INEOS to be a regular presence at United’s Carrington training base ahead of Saturday’s trip to Nottingham Forest.

“I replied, ‘No, I don’t want any distractions right now, but there will be time for this in the upcoming days and weeks, and then I’ll know more.'”
