After undergoing surgery for his injury, Victor Lindelof might make a comeback in January.
Victor Lindelof and four other injured players will be out of the Manchester United lineup until the new year.
Prior to the match against West Ham, Erik ten Hag gave an update on the Sweden captain during his pre-match press conference. Due to an undisclosed issue, Lindelof has missed the last three games across all competitions. The center back, though, had surgery and is expected to be back in action in January.
The same is true for Mason Mount (calf), Casemiro (hamstring), Harry Maguire (unspecified), and Lisandro Martinez (foot), all of whom cost £60 million to join United from Chelsea this summer. Here is the most recent injury update as United prepares to play West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime at the London Stadium;
Lindelof, Victor
Damage: Not specified
Ten Hag stated as follows: “[Against West Ham], Lindelof is not available.” He will be absent for several weeks due to surgery. He needed surgery because of a problem.”
Harry Maguire’s injury is not known
Ten Hag stated, “We don’t think it’s long-term, but he won’t be available for the upcoming games.”
Lisandro Martinez’s foot injury
Date of return: January 2024
Ten Hag said, “I’m truly sorry for him, but he has to go through the same process.” He will be missed by the team. We always have to handle things as a squad because, as you are aware, we have more injuries. We have to deal with injuries as a club. He needs to be powerful. I’m sure he’ll fight back. He is a unique individual.”
Mason Mount: Achilles
