Offer made – Man Utd prepared to sign £50million star

Manchester United wants to let go of England international Jadon Sancho and bring in Raphinha in his place. Sancho was signed by the club in an expensive deal back in 2021.

According to a report published by Sport yesterday (news image below), Man Utd has extended an offer to Barcelona for Sancho in exchange for Raphinha.

The Three Lions winger’s performance at Old Trafford has fallen short of what he was able to do with Dortmund in Germany.

On the other side, he hasn’t been a member of the team since August due to a falling out with manager Erik ten Hag.

According to Sport, Barcelona is reportedly seeking a fee of $100 million, or roughly £79 million, for the Brazilian international, but the wealthy Saudi Arabian clubs are the primary source of this amount.

Raphinha has only started six games in the Spanish La Liga under Xavi Hernandez this season, mostly serving as a bench warmer. As such, the asking price stated above is not reasonable.

Football Insider reported last month that Barca might let the South American attacker go for about £50 million.

This season, the former Leeds United player has started nine games, scored two goals, and provided six assists across all competitions.

Raphinha demonstrated his value with the Elland Road team in the Premier League. Do you think Man United should trade Jadon Sancho for the Samba star, who is valued at £50 million?
