On Thursday, Liverpool will face Sparta Prague with the hopes of taking another giant leap toward their historic quadruple.

After winning the League Cup, making it to the FA Cup quarterfinals, and leading the Premier League by one point, the Reds will resume their Europa League campaign with a round of 16 first leg match at the Czech champions.

To continue preparing for the match in Central Europe, Jurgen Klopp’s squad met at the AXA Training Centre on Wednesday. However, what insights could the session provide?

Greetings from Salah

The most notable development was undoubtedly Mohamed Salah’s inclusion; he hasn’t played a substitute role in over two months owing to his commitments with the Africa Cup of Nations and a subsequent aggravation of a muscle injury.

He was seen laughing with Andy Robertson and then getting a joking scolding from Harvey Elliott for a careless touch later on in the session.

In Prague, ahead of Sunday’s Premier League home match against Manchester City, Salah could get some playing time due to his laid-back attitude.

Okay, Kelleher

Many things can be attributed to social media. The capacity to spread malicious rumours about player injuries is one of the most important.

That was Tuesday for Caoimhin Kelleher, who inadvertently caused some fan anxiety when rumors spread that he had joined Alisson Becker in the locker room.

However, at Kirkby, the Republic of Ireland international was present among the goalkeepers. Shock abated.

Duo is still not there

The return of Mohamed Salah was welcome, but for several of Liverpool’s injured players, Thursday’s match came far too soon.

After being forced to wear protective boots due to injuries, Ryan Gravenberch and Curtis Jones were photographed arriving at the AXA Training Centre on Tuesday without them. Indeed, as he entered, Jones was seen with his in hand.

Along with Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Joel Matip, Stefan Bajcetic, Thiago Alcantara, Diogo Jota, and Ben Doak, the two of them are still sitting on the bench.

Unfortunately, Jayden

Jayden Danns, who missed the practice due to a concussion, is one player who probably won’t play Thursday. On Saturday, Danns was booked for a heavy collision with Matz Sels, the goalkeeper for Nottingham Forest.

Since 20-year-old Mateusz Musialowski did not play a role in last week’s FA Cup fifth round victory over Southampton, his presence at the session was intriguing.

Academy players Trey Nyoni, Amara Nallo, and Kaide Gordon were also present, in addition to youngsters James McConnell and Bobby Clark, who have established themselves as regulars in first team training.
