Injury Report – Everton World-class star issues Fresh Injury update on Instagram after Sean Dyche confirms player will be OUT of action for the Toffees until of the season
Midfielder Dele Alli of Everton has returned to Finch Farm following surgery for a fresh groin injury, and he has revealed additional details regarding his injury.
After spending the second part of the 2022–23 season on loan with Besiktas and returning to Merseyside early due to injury, the 27-year-old has not played for the Toffees since Sean Dyche’s arrival at Goodison Park.
Nevertheless, following Dyche’s hint that Dele could play for the Toffees before the season ends and his contract at Goodison Park expires, Dele updated his Instagram followers with updated information about his recovery.
With the caption “A little relaxation,” he uploaded a video to Instagram on Tuesday, March 5th, showing himself stretching his legs with weights. A sliver of existence. Lots of affection.
Is there a chance that Everton will see Dele Alli play before the season ends?
There were multiple points this season when Dele appeared to be making a full recovery from injury, but then a new issue cropped up, delaying his return for a few more months. It was a frustrating season overall.
This is frustrating for the midfielder and the supporters who wanted him to play again, but it may have been financially advantageous for Everton since it prevented the activation of a clause in his transfer from Tottenham.
I’m crossing my fingers that the England international’s Instagram post indicates he’s on the verge of returning to action. He appears to be making progress, even though Dyche has stated that a return to the first team is still a ways off.
We will have to wait and see if Everton supporters recognize Dele in a shirt, but he appears to be in a much better place now than he was when his time with Besiktas arrived to an end.
