“I regret not signing him with Man United; he is the only player who can really hurt Man City and Pep Guardiola.”- Man brought Legend together Paul Scholes bemoaned Man United’s grave error in failing to acquire the incredible 26-year-old superstar for £65 million.

In search of a new central midfield player, Fulham has made a bid of £20 million plus add-ons for Burnley midfielder Sander Berge, who is wanted by Manchester United.

Joao Palhinha left for Bayern Munich this summer, and Marco Silva is trying to find a replacement for the talented Portuguese player in his roster.

Scott McTominay of Manchester United seems to be Fulham’s top target. Dharmesh Sheth of Sky Sports reports that negotiations between the two Premier League teams are continuing about the midfield player, although they have not yet reached a deal on a transfer fee.

Given the importance of the Scotland international to Erik ten Hag last season, the Manchester team is thought to be content to keep him for the 2024–25 campaign and will only entertain bids if the 27-year-old makes it obvious he wants to leave.

Although it is unclear if McTominay will choose a new challenge outside of Old Trafford, Fulham has begun pursuing other players with limited time remaining in the summer season.

The Cottagers have reportedly offered £20 million plus add-ons for Burnley’s Sander Berge, who is also wanted by Manchester United, according to Sky Sports.

Fulham initiates contact with the Man United target first. Sander Premier League teams are showing a lot of interest in midfielder Berge Berge, therefore it appears that he will be leaving Burnley this summer. The Norwegian star is now under contract with Fulham; it is unclear whether Man United will make a move in response.

In the event that PSG’s Manuel Ugarte is not acquired, the 26-year-old is among the Red Devils’ midfield targets.

Fulham, however, may have some good news as Manchester World claimed on Monday that the English powerhouses have made headway in their pursuit of the Uruguay international.

As a result, Man United would lose interest in Berge, giving the London team free reign to pursue the Burnley star.
