According to sources from Football Insider, Manchester City has reached an agreement on personal terms with Divin Mubama, the West Ham striker, after interfering with his planned transfer to Portugal.

West Ham extended a contract offer to the striker, however, he became a free agent when his contract at the London Stadium ended in June.

Manchester City has reached a settlement with West Ham for a compensation sum of about £1.5 million. All parties involved have finally come to a complete agreement.

Mubama, a 19-year-old, was about to finalise a contract with the Portuguese team Famalicao before Manchester City intervened.

Oscar Bobb had a shattered leg during training, while Savinho, a recent addition to the team, got a blow to his knee during the 2-0 victory over Chelsea.

Pep Guardiola’s team suffered two injuries to its forward options, prompting them to expedite negotiations with Mubama in order to come to an agreement.

According to sources, the recruitment team at the Etihad considers Mubama to be a highly promising potential for the future. However, there is a possibility that he may be immediately included in the first-team squad.

Manchester City has reached an agreement with Divin Mubama for his transfer to West Ham.
Mubama ascended through the ranks of the academy at West Ham before making his debut in the first squad during the 2022-23 Europa Conference League season.
The forward netted his inaugural goal for the team in a resounding 4-0 victory over AEK Larnaca as a substitute, although has failed to find the back of the net in any subsequent matches at the professional level.

Since his first appearance in 2023, Mubama has only played in 18 matches for the Hammers. Fans have expressed worry about David Moyes’ apparent hesitation to give him significant playing time.

Nevertheless, the forward’s performance in those 18 outings was sufficient to generate interest from Manchester City as well as many clubs throughout Europe.

He gained notice for his performances in the Hammers’ academy teams, particularly for finishing as the leading goal scorer during their 2023 FA Youth Cup triumph.

Once Mubama’s relocation to City is finalised, he will join Guardiola’s squad with the intention of securing a place in the team.

Although he is considered a youthful potential, the striker believes that joining City is the most advantageous option for his growth and progress.
