He will love to play at Old Trafford – Xavi tips Man Utd to complete swap deal for £60m Barcelona star for Jadon Sancho in January
Xavi predicts he will adore playing at Old Trafford. Man Utd will complete a £60 million trade. January: Barcelona star for Jadon Sancho
Manchester United is considering trading for Jadon Sancho in January in exchange for Raphinha, a winger for Barcelona.
Sancho’s public outburst towards manager Erik ten Hag following the Red Devils’ loss at Arsenal has resulted in an indefinite suspension.
When the transfer window reopens at the beginning of the new year, United is prepared to offload him because he has refused to express regret for his remarks.
According to Sport, Sancho and Raphinha’s swap was previously discussed, and the upcoming weeks may see whether a deal is completed.
The Blaugrana are willing to consider selling their winger to Saudi Arabia in the interim. Aware of the wealthy league’s substantial spending power, they have set a price of €92 million.
The former Leeds United player is obviously keen to stay at Barcelona, but since he is no longer a key member of the team, he may need to consider leaving.
Raphinha Sancho may be a straight swap target for Manchester United. Following his fallout with the manager, Sancho has no future at United and is expected to look for a new club in Europe in the January transfer window.
For the 23-year-old to restart his career, a move to Barcelona would be an alluring option, and they might be prepared to pay nearly what he currently makes each week.
Raphinha, who enjoyed success with Leeds United, could also be a welcome addition to United. In two seasons, he contributed 29 goals.
In the event of a straight-swap agreement, United might not be concerned about completing a deal.
Given their precarious Financial Fair Play situation, the Red Devils may be reluctant to make a move if Barcelona is seeking additional funds in exchange.
