Says Cody Gakpo, £67k a week A Liverpool player gives his all in the gym.
Cody Gakpo, a winger for Liverpool, honored Reds teammate Curtis Jones, who was named Player of the Match on Wednesday.
In their Carabao Cup quarterfinal at Anfield, Liverpool under Jurgen Klopp defeated West Ham 5-1 to secure a semi-final matchup with Fulham.
The Reds easily defeated the Hammers, who hardly ever got out of second gear, thanks to Jones’ near-perfect performance.
In addition to his two brilliant goals, the 22-year-old was excellent both on and off the ball. He will undoubtedly win this weekend’s match against Arsenal.
Gakpo, who also recorded a point for the team, spoke kindly to Jones after the game before giving him the MOTM award.
“Santa arrived early! Just a little chat,” the Dutchman stated on Sky Sports. “You put forth a lot of effort in your work.
“You deserve the best, but nobody sees it because it’s behind closed doors. Brother, keep going!
