Everything Mikel Arteta stated regarding Tomiyasu’s fitness, Martinelli’s form, and January transfer plans
Prior to Arsenal’s Premier League matchup with West Ham at the Emirates Stadium, the manager of Arsenal addressed the media.
PARTNER
Speaking to the media at London Colney, Mikel Arteta
It’s a lovely time of year, particularly if you have children and they still feel like it’s magic. Because of the schedule this year, we were able to take some time off and enjoy that time in a unique way.
No, not much has changed thus far. Unfortunately, we won’t have those two available just yet. Kai has also been suspended. Therefore, I believe that the squad is missing five players. Yes, we are a little short, but we have been playing well, and there are still a lot of players who are eager to participate.
Is there any chance Partey or Tomiyasu will let us see them before they depart for their overseas assignments?
Yes, there is a chance. We shall see. They’re still far away from that because they haven’t trained yet. Hopefully, they can develop appropriately.
Has the time of their departure been decided?
Currently, there are discussions taking place between the federations and the clubs. We’re still debating the ideal time to complete it.
Is there a difference in feeling at the top this season compared to last?
It has a comparable feel. Being able to lead the Premier League, which is harder and even more competitive than it was a year ago, is always an amazing feeling. We have a really tough opponent in front of us tomorrow, so we need to perform at our highest level.
January: how significant is it for the window?
That is a distinct issue. All that matters to us right now is tomorrow, Fulham, and the FA Cup. After that, we’ll take a pause to evaluate our options and consider how we can improve.
