After a season of keeping everyone happy at Manchester United, former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has spoken out about his relationship with the players.

A few players at Manchester United would “leak things because they were unhappy,” according to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who freely discussed his tenure as manager.

After three years as manager, Solskjaer claims he and his staff had a “very good rapport with the players,” but he was unable to satisfy every player on United’s roster due to the club’s size.

“I felt we [coaching staff] had a very good rapport with the players,” Solskjaer said in an appearance on the Stick to Football podcast, in association with Sky Bet. He went on to say that while most teams have good rapport with their players, there are always a couple that leak things because they are unhappy.

Every game as a manager entails sacking around fourteen players; however, the following morning, you are required to inform them that they will be given another opportunity. Saying “I’ll give you that game, you’ve got a chance” can only be used so many times.

There were just too many players on our big squad, and things turned out badly in the end. Overcrowding makes the players unhappy.

Despite numerous offers, 51-year-old Solskjaer has remained out of management since his dismissal from United in 2021. He has said that he will only join a club where he can “be myself.”.

After leaving Manchester United, he needed a break, and he’s been enjoying himself. “Nah, I’m not ready” is my response to several offers from [other clubs] after I put my family and myself first.

It’s one of those places where I can be authentic and not feel pressured to conform; after managing United employees, you learn a lot and want to apply what you’ve learned in your own way.

Yeah, I’ve had a good time. You believe, “I don’t really need a job,” but you’re willing to take a chance if the opportunity presents itself. I don’t believe that “We’ve changed the owners” is a magic wand that can be waved over Manchester United.

The Glazers still have their commercial, so it’s clear that they each have their own methods of operation; how that will play out in football is anyone’s guess. Without a doubt, Erik ten Hag; I wish him the best of luck.
