In the upcoming days, Manchester United is apparently going to press for a deal to sign Erik ten Hag’s next new player.

News about Man United transfers
For now, Manchester United is doing well. Joshua Zirkzee has given them much-needed firepower to their attack, and Ilssair Mazraoui, Matthijs de Ligt, and Leny Yoro have reinforced their backline. To top it all off, the new striker scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Fulham on the first day of play.

Having said that, the Red Devils’ situation may yet improve. A centre midfielder to take Casemiro’s place has been their one-missing transfer window component. The Brazilian had difficulty throughout the previous season, exhibiting all the symptoms of a leg strain due to the Premier League’s intense level of competition.

Those indications, which are 32 years old and unlikely to slow down, provide a significant challenge for those at Old Trafford to overcome during the transfer window. Regarding that, Youssouf Fofana and Sander Berge are among the names that have been brought up, but the primary target has always been one man, and a recent update suggests that remains to be the case.

Manchester United is now expected to press for a deal to sign Manuel Ugarte in the upcoming days, according to Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider. The Premier League’s biggest teams have not yet met Paris Saint-Germain’s rumoured £50 million+ valuation, but the midfielder has already received approval to finalise his transfer to Old Trafford.

As United intensifies their pursuit, it remains to be seen if that changes in the days ahead. After a protracted summer, Ugarte could at last make his move.

“Magnificent” Ugarte would cap off a fantastic Man United summer. Anybody at Old Trafford, having watched Ten Hag’s team drop as low as seventh in the Premier League the previous season, would have been the first to concede that additions were needed all over the pitch.

Now, if they finish their revamp and bring in Ugarte, who could step right into Casemiro’s role, the Red Devils could have just that by the end of the summer transfer window.

Regaining possession would be especially important for Ugarte if he were to replace Casemiro, who struggled to get off the ball last season as he matured beyond his prime.

“He was magnificent, wonderful, with or without the ball,” former PSG boss Luis Enrique stated via PSG Report after the player received a lot of accolades. He intercepted balls, recovered balls, and pressed really high. He gave a flawless performance.

United is now hoping to capitalise on that grandeur to cap off a summer that they think will swiftly turn into a turning moment. The Red Devils, with their obvious upgrades, are definitely among the victors of the window this summer.
