Mikel Arteta has warned there is “much more” to come from Arsenal star Declan Rice ahead of his reunion wit West Ham United this evening. The Hammers will travel to the Emirates Stadium for the London derby against the Gunners.
Arsenal are hoping to reclaim top spot in the Premier League table with a win against David Moyes’ side. Liverpool moved back into first following their 2-0 win against Burnley on Boxing Day – two points ahead of the Gunners.
Rice was pivotal in helping Arsenal take a point from their trip to Anfield last weekend – once again proving why he cost the Gunners a whopping £105million fee in the summer. The England international will now take on his former side for the second time this season after featuring as a substitute in the Carabao Cup defeat against the Hammers back in November.

Prior to his reunion with West Ham United this evening, Mikel Arteta has cautioned that Declan Rice, an Arsenal star, still has “much more” to come. The Hammers will go to the Emirates Stadium to play the Gunners in the London derby.
With a victory over David Moyes’ team, Arsenal hopes to take the top spot in the Premier League standings again. After defeating Burnley 2-0 on Boxing Day, Liverpool returned to the top spot, two points clear of the Gunners.
Rice once again demonstrated why the Gunners paid a hefty £105 million for him in the summer as he played a crucial role in helping Arsenal salvage a point from their trip to Anfield last weekend. The England international, who made an appearance as a substitute in the Carabao Cup loss against the Hammers back in November, will now face his old team for the second time this season.
Despite having already scored three goals this season, Arteta thinks Rice can still contribute more assists and goals to his game. During his press conference this week, the manager of Arsenal stated: “It is not easy to carry the price tag when they put it on you.”
