According to reports, Sir Jim Ratcliffe will “not” stop Jean-Clair Todibo, a target for Manchester United, from joining Tottenham Hotspur, a rival team in the Premier League.

This season, Spurs have been a major surprise in the Premier League thanks to Ange Postecoglou’s successful transformation of their play style.

This season, center backs Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven formed an incredible partnership. However, Postecoglou has been without the Dutchman since the latter was sidelined for several months due to a serious hamstring injury.

According to numerous reports, Postecoglou may have to look for a new center-back in January due to Van van Ven’s injury. Spurs have been strongly linked to Todibo in this transfer window.

Man Utd is keeping an eye on the OGC Nice star, who has developed into one of the top young defenders in Ligue Un in recent years. It’s interesting to note that British billionaire Ratcliffe, who is about to acquire a 25% share in the Red Devils, currently owns the French team.

Ratcliffe’s newfound loyalty to Manchester United may give them an advantage over other teams in the race to sign Todibo, but according to The Evening Standard, the owner “would not stand in the way of Todibo joining Tottenham in January.” The report includes.

Spurs’ pursuit of Todibo is not anticipated to be hampered by the impending takeover, assuming the London team agrees to pay Nice’s asking price of approximately £35 million for the 23-year-old.

Spurs are currently believed to be ahead of United in the race to sign the France international defender after they opened negotiations with the Ligue 1 team.

Along with Micky van de Ven and Cristian Romero, Todibo has reportedly received assurances from Spurs during talks with his representatives that he will play a significant role in the first team.

However, a number of other elite European teams are still interested in signing Toddibo, so Spurs may still have to contend with tough competition in January from teams like United, Liverpool, AC Milan, and Bayern Munich. A center-back has been Spurs’ top priority in January, and Ange Postecoglou has urged the team to shift course and get things done early in the month.
