Agreement reached: Chelsea give green light for player’s transfer away after meeting in London

Trevoh Chalobah may join the Serie A powerhouses in January after Chelsea and Roma allegedly came to an agreement.

Chalobah hasn’t played much for Chelsea lately, so a move elsewhere seems inevitable. It’s possible that a formal agreement is getting closer at this point.

Sport Witness cites and translates Italian publication Il Romanista as saying that Chelsea and Roma have held talks in London, with the club’s director Tiago Pinto returning after securing a significant deal.

According to the report, Chalobah’s departure has been approved by Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino, so it appears that this will eventually happen.

Chalobah is expected to depart CFC in January, according to Fabrizio Romano, who recently told CaughtOffside that he might be moving to Roma.

The 24-year-old had a bright start to his senior team career after coming through their academy, so it will be interesting to see if he can continue his success in Italian football after losing favor at Stamford Bridge.
