Breaking News: Erik ten Hag sends simple four-word response to Virgil van Dijk message after Man Utd draw Liverpool at Anfield
Following Man Utd’s draw with Liverpool at Anfield, Erik ten Hag responds to Virgil van Dijk’s message in just four words.
Manchester United held Liverpool to a scoreless draw at Anfield, putting an awful week behind them, but Kop captain Virgil van Dijk wasn’t impressed with their performance.
After learning of Virgil van Dijk’s assertion that Liverpool was the only team attempting to win at Anfield on Sunday, Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag hardly raised an eyebrow.
The Reds’ 21-game scoring streak at Anfield came to an end as they lost their spot in the Premier League despite managing 34 shots, eight of which were on target.
Liverpool’s captain, Van Dijk, expressed his intense frustration with the outcome of the match by saying, “If you see how we played the game, we had most of the ball and created some opportunities.”
There was just one team vying for the victory. It’s frustrating because, of course, we want to win every game.
In the Man Utd draw, Jurgen Klopp and Virgil van Dijk’s rage towards two Liverpool players said it all: “Sometimes we shot too easy and could have passed on the overlap.” Sometimes the right choice was not made.
Naturally, we continue, but it annoys me because we were better in every way. Ultimately, they’re excited about a point, and we’re let down by a point.
When Ten Hag was informed of Van Dijk’s remarks during his post-game press conference, the unfazed United manager remarked, “This is his opinion.”
The Dutchman continued, “I expressed my pride in the team in the dressing room following the game. This is something we should do more of. We adhered to the game plan and stayed in the game.
“Today we demonstrated our capabilities. We can win games, especially important ones, if we play with this mentality every time we step onto the field. We are a formidable team.
Ten Hag didn’t say much about Van Dijk, but Red Devils great Roy Keane attacked the captain of Liverpool, calling him conceited.
Keane angrily said on Sky Sports, “Virgil van Dijk had arrogance coming out of him, dishing Manchester United like that.” “He requires his own reminder. He plays for a team that has only had one championship in about thirty years.
Jurgen Klopp asserts that Liverpool has performed well to be in second place and says he “couldn’t really be interested” in the title fight.
The Liverpool manager remarked, “I don’t know why we open that discussion, but I’m happy we’re in the area we are.” “December is the hardest month of the year, but everyone has to find a way to get through it. I would be more than happy to talk about it in April.
We’re here because of our performances, exactly where we belong.
