FEE AGREED: Man United agree deal to sign Brazilian midfielder after Ugarte’s deal is confirmed off

According to TNT Sports Brazil, Manchester United has purportedly begun talks to sign Andre Trindade, a standout for Fluminense, late in current transfer window.

The Red Devils have been working extremely hard this summer to bolster the squad in an effort to flip their fortunes around this season after suffering through a disastrous campaign the previous one.

Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt, and Noussair Mazraoui were already acquired by United to reinforce the defence, and Joshua Zirkzee was brought in from Bologna to bolster the front line.

Erik ten Hag does, however, also have the goal of adding a new midfield player before the deadline of next week, with Manuel Ugarte of PSG reportedly being his top choice. However, it seems like United has added more candidates to their shortlist.

Andre to Manchester United
Before making a possible move, TNT Sports reports that Man Utd has indicated interest in Andre and has begun “negotiations” with the player’s representatives.

But according to the article, Wolverhampton Wanderers are reportedly planning a move for him in addition to the record Premier League winners.

The 23-year-old was strongly linked to a summer transfer to Liverpool, but the Reds ultimately chose against moving forward with the signing of him in favour of acquiring other objectives.

Andre can do well against teams that apply a lot of pressure because of his technical skill. He can play defence as well as offence, and he maintains composure when in possession.

According to reports, Fluminense may be willing to let the midfield player go if they receive a bid of about £21 million. Therefore, if Man Utd formally expresses interest, they may be able to obtain his signature for a reasonable fee. Andre would be a far more affordable choice than Ugarte because PSG is rumoured to be seeking roughly £51 million for him.

It would be intriguing to see, though, if the all-time Premier League winners decide to make a serious move to sign the Fluminense star before current transfer window closes.

In the meantime, Manchester United will play Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime after defeating Fulham to start the season.
