Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell has been reportedly offered to Manchester United after he made a definitive decision on his transfer. Chilwell is one of the players expected to depart Chelsea before the summer transfer window closes, as he is not included in Enzo Maresca’s plans.

According to reports, Chelsea has made an offer to Manchester United for Ben Chilwell in order to decrease their payroll expenses even more.

Throughout his tenure in West London, England’s Chilwell, a defender, participated in over 100 matches with the first team, despite being frequently hampered by injuries. He joined Chelsea from Leicester City in 2020.

Following the end of the 2022–2023 season, the 27-year-old athlete agreed to a contract extension that will ensure his presence in the league until the summer of 2027.
Subsequently, following the signing of that contract, he saw a decline in his position within the hierarchy as a result of two managerial transitions.
The left-back, who had minimal participation in the preseason, has received guidance from his present manager, Enzo Maresca, indicating that he will face difficulties in receiving playing time unless he secures a transfer.
One of the potential options being considered is a transfer to Manchester United, a team in the Premier League. However, this transfer is not simple or easy to do. Erik ten Hag’s team is presently lacking the services of injured players Luke Shaw and Tyrell Malacia, which could account for Chelsea’s tactical stance.
TalkSPORT reports that Manchester United have been presented with the opportunity to acquire the services of Chilwell, and Chelsea would not impede the transfer. He was not included in the squad selected by Maresca to play against Manchester City on Sunday, while Marc Cucurella started as the left-back.
“Regarding Chilly, the situation is very evident,” Maresca stated prior to the commencement of the Premier League’s first match. “I admire his training methods and his personality, but the issue lies in his difficulty in identifying his optimal position within our team.”Consistently training without receiving playing time is detrimental for both the players and myself, as it necessitates making judgements. For certain players, it is occasionally more advantageous to depart and relocate to another place in order to obtain more playing time. We shall observe the outcome since the transfer window is now active.
Sterling, similar to Chilwell, was excluded from the team lineup on Sunday. “While I acknowledge Raheem’s skill as a player, I personally have a preference for wingers with different styles.” “This is the cause,” the manager stated.
