I love Man united but I’ll have to leave – Man United star linked with shock January exit against Erik ten Hag’s wishes

Man United star linked to unexpected January departure against Erik ten Hag’s wishes: “I love Man United, but I’ll have to leave.”

The Tottenham defender Sergio Reguilon’s loan at Manchester United may expire in January as Borussia Dortmund is reportedly interested in signing him.

He has already made ten appearances for the Red Devils, but his own injury problems have kept him from turning in particularly noteworthy performances.

Erik ten Hag, though, is keen to keep Reguilon at Old Trafford for the duration of the campaign, particularly since Tyrell Malacia, another left back, isn’t anticipated to return from his knee injury until January.

However, The Mirror claims that Dortmund is interested in the manager’s services, so the manager might not get his wish.

The Spaniard’s contract has a break clause, which would enable Spurs to call him back the following month, as was recently disclosed.

Although Dortmund’s interest in the defender is unknown, Spurs would definitely accept a good offer if it came with the defender’s contract, which is set to expire in 18 months.

Reguilon, who turns 27 on Saturday, is being paid in full by United, and Ten Hag recently talked about the possibility of Spurs calling up their player.

“We have to make a final decision on Reguilon,” stated the Dutchman. Spurs, however, are also having that conversation right now.

Naturally, Tottenham has the option to call him back for their own needs if Ange Postecoglou’s team sustains any more suspensions or injuries to their defense.

After joining the team on loan from Real Madrid in the previous season, Reguilon made his first appearances for North London in 2020.
